The Family That Prays Together...
Evangelist Billy Graham lists seven reasons why having family devotions is important:
1. It unifies the home life and puts faith in the place of friction.
2. It brings to the family group a sense of God's presence.
3. It shows the children that God is relevant to everyday living and not just a Being to be worshiped at church.
4. It gives members of the family an opportunity for self-examination and confession of sin.
5. It strengthens the members of the household for the tasks and the responsibilities they are to face durning the day.
6. It insulates us against the hurts and misunderstandings that come our way.
7. It supplements the work of the church and makes our homes a sanctuary where Christ is honored.

bottles and laundry
Seemed

her grocery store.

babe under arm,

“MOPS or bust…
Or
the Funny Farm!”
During
the meeting
She
had such fun.
Speaker,
discussion group, craft
She
has won!

had many new friends.

is MOPS?
MOPS
is a Christian program for Mothers of Preschoolers.
Come enjoy a much-needed break from “mommy duty!”
Meetings include:
Speakers
& Discussion Group -
Learn about timely topics from our informative speakers and discuss
your ideas with other moms.
Creative
Activity – Make and
take home a fabulous craft that celebrates your artistic side!
Great seasonal and gift ideas!
Fellowship
& Refreshments –
Meet new friends who “know where you’re coming from” when it comes to
mothering a precious preschooler!
What
is the cost to join MOPS?
Dues
are $20 annually (MOPS-to-Mom Connection) payable by check to the order of
Swansea First Baptist Church or by cash.
Through MOPS-to-Mom
Connection, MOPS International provides MomSense magazine (bi-monthly), Mom
E-mails, plus usually a children’s DVD/CD and an inspirational book for
moms.
What
about my kids?
Childcare
is available through our MOPPETTS program, offering a curriculum for infant
through kindergarten-age children. Reservations
are required. MOPPETTS is located
on the bottom floor of the Educational Building Annex.
